Star power is needed for CO powers. In games after the first Advance Wars, the amount of star power needed for a CO Power is shown with a star meter. This meter varies in size for different COs. The amount of star power needed for a normal CO power is shown by small stars, while it is shown with big stars for Super CO Powers.
Mechanics[]
Star power increases when you deliver damage to the opponent or the amount of HP damage taken. Direct attacks, indirect attacks, and counter-attacks add-on to the star power. Losing HP from the opponent increases the star power even more than being on the offensive.
The current values are as follows:
Uses | Percentage |
---|---|
1 | 100% |
2 | 120% |
3 | 140% |
4 | 160% |
5 | 180% |
6 | 200% |
7 | 220% |
8 | 240% |
9 | 260% |
10 | 280% |
++ | 200% |
In 1 and 2, the values are determined by the amount of funds lost.
In Dual Strike, the values were changed to fixed value, depending on the unit.
Star power will not increase in these certain cases:
- CO Powers or Super CO Powers that decrease HP. Examples: Drake, Sturm, Olaf, Hawke, Rachel, Kindle, Von Bolt.
- During the activation time of your CO Power, Super CO, and Tag. If you activate your CO Power and not SCOP instead, your Star Power meter will be placed exactly on the value it was activated.
