Sensei (known as Yamamoto in the Japanese version) is a Yellow Comet CO. A former paratrooper rumored to have been quite the CO in his day. Sensei possesses powerful infantry, superior firepower for Battle Helicopters, and increased movement range for transport units (Lander, APC, Transport Helicopter, and Black Boat), although his naval units have weaker attacks. He was also Kanbei's and Hachi's teacher, as was stated in Advance Wars 2: Black Hole Rising. During Advance Wars: Dual Strike he joins the allied nations in Omega Land along with another one of his students, Grimm.

Kicks butt with copters and all infantry. What can we say? He's a simple soul.

Advance Wars 2: Black Hole Rising

Foot Soldiers have +40% attack. Battle Copters have +50% attack. Other ground and naval units suffer a 10% attack penalty. Transport units have +1 movement.

Advance Wars: Dual Strike

Foot Soldiers have +10% attack. Battle Copters have +50% attack. Air units have normal firepower. All sea units suffer a 10% attack penalty. Transport units have +1 movment.

Sensei is considered the most powerful CO in this game, being able to reach the unit limit as early as day 12 thanks to his normal COP.

CO Power

Copter Command: Sensei takes to the skies with a battalion of infanrty, and then drops them off onto his cities. Unfortunatly, one in ten don't survive the landing. Increases the fire power of all battle copters by 30% and an infantry unit with 9 HP is parachuted on every allied city, ready to move.

CO Super Power

Airborne Assualt: Outraged by the rebellious youth of today, Sensei orders a bunch of mechs from Taiwan (where they're made) and plunks them onto his own cities, ready to move. Unfortunatly, he's always shortchanged on the health of the units he's recieved. Further increases the fire power of all battle copters by 30% and a mech unit with 9 HP is parachuted on every allied city, ready to move.

Quotes

Dual Strike

Victory

"I might retire soon... I wonder how my 401k is doing."

(With Hachi)

Hachi: "Shop till you drop! Or until I drop you!"
Sensei: "Ha ha ha! You're such the businessman!"

Tactics

Obviously, he sucks on the ground and at sea. His copters, due to high firepower and (relatively) low cost, become the ulitmate harrassment unit. His powers, if used correctly, can make either a flood of infantry/mechs or a load of money; combine his 9hp infantry/mechs and you can get free cash. On large maps with a ton of cities, we commonly refer to this as "Printing your own Money". Ho ho, what fun.

Make sure to have a few tanks handy, though, or else you risk having your army of copters and infantry torn apart by a few a-airs. His transports and high infantry firepower make him a useful early game CO, but late into battles he really starts to suffer (and on naval battles, his weaknesses become apparent). Eat old man bullets, you pesky kids! AND GET OFF MY LAWN!!!!!!
