As Buggies are somewhat hard to get experience for in addition to the Buggy S being easy to lose in carelessness, it is not recommended to have too many Buggy Ss, since their anti-tank weapon is for a job that many other units that a decent player is bound to have can manage.
However, Buggy Ss have a use: allowing for the quick destruction of an anti-air defense with Anti-Air Tanks. This is done by moving a Transport Plane with a Buggy S loaded two spaces away and then moving the Buggy S off and right next to the Anti-Air Tank. The result will be an immediate attack on the Anti-Air Tank with a base of 9 HPs of damage dealt before the Anti-Air Tank can react. By eliminating the Anti-Air Tanks, the Buggy S will allow Attackers to bomb the land units starting with Anti-Air Missile Launchers without fear of punishment.
This is a niche use since the Battle Helicopter S can attack armored units not only from a distance after movement but deals heavy damage to them too, but the Battle Helicopter S, being an air unit, requires an Airport that could be used for a Fighter or an Attacker and has to worry about fuel, whereas the Buggy S is a land unit that only requires a City that is likely easy to spare, and can be delivered over rough terrain to boost the control of an area and help keep it under control for extended periods of time.
