- Main article: Artillery
Artillery(Days of Ruin) or Mech Guns(Dark Conflict) or 自走砲(失われた光) are low tier indirect attack units. Their low cost and indirect attack makes them useful for attacking over mountains and hiding in woods during Fog of War. Artillery units are completely helpless to any unit adjacent to them and require other units to provide backup if in such a situation.
Artillery is initially introduced in A Single Life, and becomes buildable in New Allies.

Competitive Play[]
An Artillery in Advance Wars : Days Of Ruin
While Artillery units don't have the strongest indirect firepower, yet they are, by far, the most commonly used unit in competitive matches due to the power they pack at their low price.
It is not advisable to build too many of them, because they are slower than direct units, as well as easily countered by Infantry spamming and B. Copters. But the Artillery unit still remains a good way to damaging the enemy's Tanks and countering the occasional Md. Tank. They're good for defensive play, but make sure you protect your Artillery with plenty of Infantry and an offensive unit (like a Tank).
Trivia[]
- Rubinelle's artillery resembles the American M109 Paladin self-propelled howitzer.
- The Lazurian Army/IDS artillery resembles the Russian SU-76 self-propelled gun/tank destroyer.
